Mission: Expanding the ideas of freedom all over Nepal and promoting new enterprises.

Vision: Igniting freedom through entrepreneurship.

Language of Liberty Institute began its journey in Nepal with Liberty Camps and seminars in Kathmandu and Biratnagar in 2018 as a joint venture with Bikalpa – an Alternative (Biratnagar). In 2019, we organized another camp near Kathmandu (Dhulikhel), again in collaboration with Bikalpa – an Alternative.

In 2020, group meetings such as camps were not possible due to the government covid restrictions.  Instead, we formed a team in Pokhara of camp alumni that organized a COVID aid relief program to collect and distribute food and other basic supplies to poor and vulnerable people in the Pokhara region, many of whom lost their jobs and income because of the government restrictions on economic activity. Our friends at the Pokhara Research Centre (a local think tank) helped us. We visited three different locations on three different days and assisted over fifty individuals and families.

As life slowly returned to normal in 2021, the same group of alumni, and with support from Pokhara Research Centre, organized a Teacher’s Discussion Group based on the famous book “The Adventures of Jonathan Gullible – A Free Market Odyssey” written by Professor Ken Schoolland. Continuing the journey of LLI in Nepal, our team organized our third Liberty Camp, this time located near Pokhara.

In 2022, our Pokhara group of alumni adopted the name of Language of Liberty Institute Nepal and introduced a Provincial Liberty Workshop (two days of non-residential program) as a feeder program to our annual Liberty Camp, and the same year organized our fourth Nepal camp, this time held in Bandipur. Reaching to new peoples and building network Language of Liberty Institute Nepal organized its second Liberty Workshop in Karnali Province. To train the team and strengthening the bonding, LLI Nepal also introduced a Leadership Symposium.

Last year (2023), we registered LLI Nepal with the government so we could more formally and officially grow our activities and network. We also organized our fifth camp (in Dhulikhel) and third and fourth Liberty Workshops in Lumbini and Bagmati Provinces.

This year, we are planning our next camp September 13-18 at Ratnagiri Resort in the mountains above Kathmandu. In the spring, we also introduced Liberty Chitchat (local discussion group) with the aim of supporting and exchanging ideas with young people.
